Kids Teeth Cleaning

A dental cleaning is a professional tooth cleaning performed in our office.

Your child's dental cleaning will include coronal polishing, which is completed by one of our registered dental assistants, followed by a deeper scaling of the teeth if needed, which is completed by Dr. Lee. Cleanings should be performed every six months to prevent excessive plaque buildup. Plaque consists of masses of bacteria that grow between and on teeth, at and below the gum line. Plaque left untreated can lead to unhealthy gums and tooth decay. A routine dental cleaning takes approximately 5-10 minutes.
