Nitrous Oxide Sedation
Nitrous oxide sedation, also known as "laughing gas," is commonly used to make treatment more comfortable.
The nitrous oxide is inhaled through a mask and generally produces a state of relaxation. It is not intended to put you to sleep. Local anesthetic will be administered in conjunction with nitrous oxide to help eliminate pain. Nitrous oxide has been used for many years to help make dental procedures easier for nervous patients
If you feel that Nitrous Oxide Sedation is an option for your child, please inquire about it at their appointment. We are happy to answer any of your questions.
